The Second City Chicago, IL
Builtech has completed multiple projects for Chicago’s iconic The Second City over the last decade, including multiple theatres, offices, their bar and classrooms. Most recently, Builtech completed the new 30,000 sf expansion of their training facility and theaters.
The Springs at Canterfield West Dundee, IL
The Springs at Canterfield features 13 buildings, each containing 20 rental apartments varying in size and style, with 26 studio, 104 one-bedroom, 104 two-bedroom and 26 three-bedroom apartments. The site is pedestrian and pet-friendly, and the clubhouse includes offices, a 24-hour fitness center, an outdoor pool and a large recreation room.
Bareburger Multiple Locations
Located at 3357 North Lincoln Ave. in Chicago, this specific build-out was comprised of an entire two-story, three-tenant steel frame structure, from the ground up. Within the 12,000 square foot (zero lot-line) structure, Builtech also completed the interior build-out of the 2,150 square foot Bareburger restaurant.
229 Park Avenue Clarendon Hills, IL
229 Park Avenue is a high-end multifamily apartment building, located in the heart of Chicagoland’s desirable Clarendon Hills suburb. The four-story, mixed-use, mixed-income development features one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and two-story live/work units, as well as retail on the ground floor. It will set a new standard of luxury apartment living in the neighborhood.
The Howard Building Chicago, IL
Located at 1000 West Randolph in the heart of Chicago’s exploding West Loop neighborhood, Builtech’s renovation of the Howard Building includes a 2-story, 21,375 square foot Anthropologie store, and 3,100-square-foot Starbucks, high-end Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room.
Royal Palms Shuffle Board Club Chicago, IL
When it opened in April 2018, in the heart of Chicago’s trendy Wicker Park neighborhood, the Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club instantly became one of the neighborhood’s most popular nightlife destinations. The 17,300 square foot, two-story venue includes a 5,400 SF rooftop deck, as well as two full-bars, and food truck service.
Evergreen Plaza Evergreen Park, IL
The iconic Evergreen Plaza was the first suburban indoor shopping mall in America; at its peak in the 1960s and 70s, the mall had 120 stores and a food court. When the DeBartolo Group set out to redevelop the mall, taking it out of foreclosure and disrepair, they turned to Builtech. The 185,000 square foot project amounted to one of the largest (and first) de-malling projects in the US, and included build-outs for DSW Shoes, Ulta Beauty, Five Below, TJ Max and Petco among others.
Woodspring Suites Multiple Locations
Builtech worked with Holladay Properties as General Contractor to build two, four-story ground-up hotels simultaneously. One of the properties has 124 rooms (45,000 sf) and the other has 116 rooms (43,000 sf). Both projects were completed turn-key ready, including all finishes and complex coordination with their national vendors and franchise procurement teams for the Woodspring Suites brand.
TD Ameritrade Multiple Locations
TD Ameritrade is one of Builtech’s longest-standing and most-trusted retail relationships. We started building TD Ameritrade properties in 2010. Since then, Builtech has completed over 50 TD Ameritrade build-outs throughout the United States, including properties in California, Illinois, Minnesota, Ohio, and Virginia. Builtech is currently on-track to complete two additional TD Ameritrade properties in 2018.
Value City Furniture Multiple Locations
Value City Furniture is one of the leading and fastest-growing furniture chains in the US, and currently operates over 100 family-owned stores throughout the US. Builtech has completed ground-up Value City Furniture properties for the company, including the company’s flagship store in Chicago.
Ross Dress for Less Multiple Locations
Ross Dress For Less has been one of Builtech’s most loyal retail clients, since 2010. Builtech has completed over 30 Ross Dress For Less stores throughout the United States, including properties in Kentucky, Arizona, Illinois, and Maryland. Builtech has worked both with Ross directly, and with developers, on both ground-up and interior build-outs. 100% of Builtech’s 30 Ross stores have been completed on-time.
Burlington Multiple Locations
Builtech has completed over 30 Burlington store locations, since 2012. We have worked both with Burlington directly, and through developers as well, on both ground-up and interior build-out projects. We have completed projects for Burlington across the US, including properties in Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, and Oregon.
The Gardner School Multiple Locations
The Gardner School offers year-round educational and childcare programs for children as young as six weeks through pre-kindergarten. Builtech has worked for The Gardner School as general contractor since 2015, having completed two build-outs in the city of Chicago enabling the school to expand in capacity. In addition, Builtech is currently managing the construction of two new ground-up facilities in northwest suburban Chicago.
